Hilda I. Bahrke

Hilda I. Bahrke, 88, De Pere, passed away, Friday morning, March 4, 2016, at home. Born and raised on the family farm in Gillett on March 16, 1927, she is the daughter of the late William and Marjorie (Scott) Petersen. Hilda attended Claywood Elementary School in Claywood, WI. She married Lester L. Bahrke on June 10, 1944, at Suring and he preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 1973. Hilda had worked for 20 years as the head cook at St. Vincent Hospital.

Hilda is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Teresa Bahrke; grandson, Chad (Larissa) Buhrandt; three great-grandchildren, Caden, Michali, and Lorelai; five sisters, Violet Puymbroek, Joan (Pat) Grady, Molly Weylandt, Jennine (George) Piotrowski, and Mary Ellen (Merle) Weihing; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Lester; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia “Patty” and Aaron Buhrandt; sister, Marie (Victor) VanRemortel; and brother, John (Doris) Petersen; three brothers-in-law, Marvin Puymbroek, David Giese, and Phillip Weylandt

Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St. Tues. from 2-5pm. Funeral 5pm Tues. at the funeral home. Burial in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
