Ginger Drake

November 26, 1955 — August 20, 2014

“Ginger” Virginia (Brisbois) Drake, 84, Green Bay, passed away August 20, 2014. Born on November 9, 1929, she is the daughter of the late Frederic and Clara (Kirkpatrick) Brisbois. Ginger was a graduate of St. Rose High School class of ’48, in Detroit, MI. She married Victor Drake on November 26, 1955, in Detroit, MI and he preceded her in death in 1981. Ginger was the Den Mother for Pack 40, PTA President of Oak Grove School, and secretary of the Golden Bowlers League. She worked at Pranges/Younkers for many years. She enjoyed shopping, bowling and times spent with family and friends.

Ginger is survived by her three children, Cheryl Stickels of Belvidere, IL, Ray Drake and family of Sobieski, and Alan Drake and family of Little Suamico; seven grandchildren and two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother and three sisters, Verena Holdforth, Alfred (Trude) Brisbois, Mary (Marvin) Sims, and Liz Pearson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor (SFC RET); daughter, Denise Konshak; one sister, Susie.

Visitation at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St., Monday from 2:30 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM. Burial at Wescott Lake Drive Cemetery.
