Gerald “Jerry” Blanshan, 74, Green Bay, passed away June 4, 2013. Born on June 12, 1938, he is the son of the late Russell and Clara Blanshan.
Jerry worked at Los Banditos for many years and enjoyed his work and the many friends and fun times they shared while working there. He was also a member of Argonauts of Wisconsin. He was pleased that he was able to visit many of the states in the US with his Argonaut friends and was able to make new friends wherever he went. A very patriotic American, Jerry supported veterans and veterans organizations and never failed to honor our nation’s flag. He will be missed by his bingo buddies and friends at Monroe Plaza. He always had a smile for everyone and a sparkle in his eye as he teased his friends and brightened their day.
Jerry is survived by his cousin, Tom (Jill) Proulx, one Aunt, Jean Rolhoff; and one Uncle, Harold Blanshan and other cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Charlotte Blanshan; two Aunts, Grace Proulx and Dorothy Moyle and one Uncle, Ralph Blanshan.
Friends may call from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at Nicolet Memorial Gardens Chapel at 2770 Bay Settlement Rd on Wednesday, June 19th. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 am.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Craig Gunderson for his friendship and guidance through the years.
A memorial fund in Jerry’s name is being established.
