Evelyn A. Harrington

Evelyn A. Harrington, 90, died at Tender Hearts Assisted Living on July 3, 2016.She was born on September 23, 1925 in Cicero, IL. to the late Bohaslav and Julia (Navotany) Brousek.

Evelyn graduated from Mortion High School in Cicero IL in 1943. Evelyn started work as an Administrative Assistant at Western Electric and was active in the Hawthorn Players Group. She also did ballroom dancing during her lunch hour at Western Electric where she met her future husband.

In 1949 she married John L. Harrington and in 1952 moved to Green Bay with her first born. She raised six children and later worked for the Brown County Library as a page. She also assisted reading and taught Sunday school at Our Savior Lutheran.

She is survived by her children and their spouses; John R. (Pauline) Harrington of Allouez, Dale Susan (Tim) Rasmussen of Winfield, IL, Diana Marie (Robert) Nimmer of New Franken, Dawn Marie Harrington of La Crescent MN, David J. (Jody) Harrington of De Pere, Darren J. (Jana) Harrington of Sheboygan, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Julia and Blanch.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church (330 S Broadway, Green Bay) at 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM with the church service following at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rachel Knoke officiating.

The family wants to express their heartfelt thanks to staff at Tender Heart Assisted Living, Dr. Gil Freeman, Dr. Bozena Biernat, and Unity Hospice.
