Edward Turensky, 82, Oconto Falls, passed away peacefully Monday, February 9, 2015 with family by his side. Born on July 20, 1932, he is the son of the late Louis and Elizabeth “Ann” (Terrell) Turensky. He was stationed in Germany and served during Korean War for two years. Edward married his high school sweetheart the former Jean Devillers in 1955, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and she preceded him in death on December 5, 2011. He was a mason for many years and was a proud member of the Brick Layers Union. Edward enjoyed hunting, fishing, and times spent at his cabin. Most of all he loved times spent with his family.
He is survived by his three sons, Dave (Kathy) Turensky of Oconto Falls, Jeff (Janet) Turensky of Oconto Falls, and Mike Turensky of Green Bay; one daughter, Sarah (special friend, Larry) Turensky of Green Bay; four grandchildren, Josh (Nikki), Ashley, JoJo and Sammie; two great grandchildren, Jayden and Taylor; one brother, Richard Turensky; three sisters, Doris (Jim) Kellam, Patricia (Jerry) Beno, and Ann Marie (Fred) Mier; many other relatives and friends.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean; one sister, Eleanor Smeester; two brothers, Al and Raymond Turensky.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Friday, February 13, from 3 PM until the time of the funeral service at 6 PM at the funeral home. Burial at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
