Doris A. Deneys, 70, Green Bay, found peace Monday evening, June 3, 2013, at a local hospital after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Born March 7, 1943, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Ambrose “Boots” and Gloria (Monfils) Roskom. Doris married James Deneys on August 11, 1962, at St. John the Baptist Church. The couple was blessed with a beautiful baby daughter, Nancy, which was their pride and joy. Doris was a gifted seamstress and was employed over the years with EDS, Stretch and Sew, Life’s a Stitch and other local businesses. Sewing was a lifelong joy for Doris that she continued into her retirement. Doris loved to travel as long as she was able. Her cats, Callie, Chris and Alice, always brought a smile to her face.
Doris is survived by her husband of 50 years, James; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Gary Farrell of Green Bay; one sister, Carol (special friend Larry) Melville of Luxemburg; half-brother, Scott (Jackie) Roskom of Lena; half-sister, Lisa (Tom) Lemirand of De Pere; two brothers-in-law, Raymond (special friend Jean) Deneys of Tampa, FL and Lee (Mary) Deneys of Green Bay; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Lucille Deneys.
Visitation at MALCORE (WEST) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Thursday, June 6, 2013, from 4-8pm. Parish wake service, 7:30pm Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the funeral home led by Sr. Toni Jendrasiak, SSND. Visitation continues Friday morning, June 7, 2013, at the funeral home from 10am until the time of the service. Funeral 11am Friday, June 7, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastoral Associate Ann Froelich officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
