My story began on March 4, 1931, the only son of Harold and Ann (Misovec) Wetts. While in high school, I lured in my future wife, Phyllis Jones with a fishing pole, and we immediately fell in love. We were married on January 26, 1952, and we had three wonderful sons. I worked at Ft. Howard Paper Company for 40 years. I was extremely athletic, and I enjoyed bowling, baseball, fishing, and golf. Most importantly, I had the pleasure and honor of coaching my boys throughout their childhood, and attending my grandchildren’s sporting events to cheer them on.
My journey ended on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, and another chapter begins for me as I join my parents and my sister, Nancy Holz.
For a time, I leave my beautiful bride of 64 years, Phyllis, De Pere; three sons, Steven (Pam) Wetts, Thomas (Donna) Wetts, and Randy (Karen) Wetts; 7 grandchildren, Brian (Tanya) Hebert, Nikki (Jim) Strick, Chris, Heather, Brandon, Sarah, and Katie Wetts; two great grandchildren, and one great grandchild on the way; one brother-in-law, Wayne Holz; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James “Buck” (“Duck”) Bukoski; dear friends, Don and Gail DeMeuse; and many nieces and nephews.
