Clarence Wacek

Clarence “Clancy” Wacek, 78, Green Bay, passed away August 2, 2014, at home. Born on February 23, 1936, he is the son of the late Henry and Anna (Novachek) Wacek. Clarence graduated from Mishicot High School the class of ’54. He served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961. Clarence married the former Mary Kay Kocian June 30, 1962, in Francis Creek. He moved to Green Bay in 1968 and started his employment at Fort Howard where he worked for twenty nine years. He loved to fish, garden, golf, bowling, softball, his Packers, and his cats, Chatty and Blackie. He enjoyed times spent with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Mary; two sons, Daniel (Linda) Wacek of Cygnet, OH, and David (Julia) Wacek of Green Bay; three grandchildren, Nicholas and Brittany, and Nathan Wacek; one brother, Victor Wacek; one sister, Clara Linsmeyer; many nieces and nephews.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alvin and one infant daughter.

Visitation at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St., Thursday from 6 PM until 8 PM. Visitation will continue Friday morning at the church from 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice, especially, Tracey, Sara, and Molly.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Clarence’s name.
