Catherine G. Huens, 93, Stoughton, formerly of Green Bay and Athelstane, died peacefully on September 2, 2015, with family by her side. Born on January 11, 1922, in Marinette, she is the daughter of the late Walter and Hildegarde (Judkins) Johnson. On July 20, 1940, she married Bernard Huens in Maquoketa, Iowa, and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1996. Kate enjoyed playing cards with friends, fishing, and watching the Packers and Brewers.
Kate is survived by two daughters, Marlene (Craig) Ama, Stoughton, and Kathleen (Ted) Bruening, Green Bay; eight grandchildren, Brad (Jean) Ama, Kim (Shawn) Montgomery, Kolin (Kristen) Ama, Eric (Debra) Ama, Dane (Shelly) Bruening, Annie Bruening, Bernard Bruening, and Timothy Bruening; 13 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Robert and Donald Hoffman; and her parents.
Visitation at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 710 N. Baird St., Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Funeral service 12:00 p.m. (noon) Saturday at the church with Deacon Tom Mahoney officiating. Burial at Ft. Howard Memorial Park.
