Carolyn (Herlache) Duca, 75, Denmark, passed away October 12, 2013, at a local hospital. Born on August 18, 1938, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Raymond and Nellie (Verhasselt) Herlache. She married Donald Duca on May 6, 1961, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Carolyn worked at the Telephone Company in Green Bay for a number of years. She then worked as a Teacher’s Aide at MacArthur School for over twenty five years. Carolyn enjoyed bowling, cards, golfing, being up north, and watching the Packers. She idolized her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carolyn will be sorely missed by her family and was always known as G-ma to many.
She is survived by her two children, Patricia (Randal) Buth of Denmark, and Steven (Lisa) Duca of Green Bay; seven grandchildren, Nick (Amber) Buth, Nathan (Ona) Buth, Sarah (Justin Thuerwachter) Buth, Amanda (Nick Preisler) Duca, Alex Duca, Emily Hujet, and Jordan Duca; three great grandchildren, Rachael Buth, Payson Buth, and Madison Buth; one brother, Jack (Jean) Herlache; ex husband, Donald (Sue) Duca; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Duca; and one infant, brother.
Visitation at MALCORE (East) Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird St., Thursday from 4 PM until the time of the Wake Service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home Friday from 9 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Cirignani, OFM officiaiting. Entombment at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
