Carol Jean Clementine Helebrant, 80, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local hospital on August 9, 2015, with family by her side. Born on October 16, 1934, in Casco, she is the daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred (Resler) Bourain. On March 21, 1953, she married Frank O. Helebrant at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1982. Carol loved to garden, and always kept nice flowers in her yard. She also enjoyed spending time with her faithful canine companions, especially Skippy, Pongo, and Molly (the troublemaker). Best of all, Mom was a good cook, and she will be fondly remembered for German potato salad. She enjoyed putting on a good meal and eating it too. Carol will also be remembered for supporting her children and grandchildren at their sporting events. She was a faithful member at Our Savior Lutheran Church for many years and volunteered in the Women’s Guild.
Survived by four children, Christine (Terry) Krouth, Eden Prairie, MN, Gerrie (Lee) Hroblak, Red Wing, MN, Frank (Laurie) Helebrant, Green Bay, and Scott (Brenda) Helebrant, Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Melissa (Pat) Krouth-Chelmo, Lauren (Alex) DeCamp, Andrea (Ben) Horner, Erica Hroblak, Salena Helebrant, Alison Hroblak, Kaitlin (Brian) Atkinson, Kirstin (Aaron) Neiheisel, and Isaiah Helebrant; great grandchildren, Sullivan Krouth-Chelmo, Liam Krouth-Chelmo, Connall Krouth-Chelmo, Dominick Horner, Sebastian DeCamp, Eli Neiheisel, Matilda DeCamp, and one on the way; siblings, Barbara (Wally) Krueger, Donald (June) Bourain, Kermit (Mary Ann) Bourain, Richard (Marsha) Bourain, Sharon Corbisier, Orvis (Olivia) Resler, and Melbourn (Jean) Resler; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and parents.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird St., Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry Street, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. David Hatch officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
