Carol A. Herlache, 80, Green Bay, passed away, Friday evening, Aug. 7, 2015, at a local care facility. Born Feb. 18, 1935, in Green Bay, she is the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Sullivan) Witcpalek. Carol is a graduate of East High School, Class of ’53. She married Gerald “Jerry” R. Herlache on August 10, 1957 at Saints Peter and Paul Church and he preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2008. Carol worked as substitute in the administrative offices of the Green Bay School District. She was a long time member of St. Bernard Parish. Carol will be remembered for her enjoyment of knitting, crocheting, gardening, boating and camping. Carol’s greatest love was always for her family.
Carol is survived by four children, Mary (James) Haen, Mike (Marsha) Herlache, all of Green Bay, David (Kathy) Herlache of Georgia, and Willy (Angela) Herlache of De Pere; seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Heather (Aaron), Kira, Dahnielle, Matthew, Anna, and Isaac; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Fran (Lee) Rademacher of Green Bay; one brother, Leo (Sharon) Witcpalek of De Pere; brother-in-law, Dick (Helen) Herlache of Green Bay; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Herlache of Green Bay, Barbara (Bob) Garrity of Kansas, Margie Herlache of Suamico; Very good friends, Jim and Carole Derbique of Green Bay; other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Jerry; infant siblings; brothers-in-law, Robert, Ken and Jim Herlache; and sister-in-law, Joyce (Bob) DeBauche.
Visitation at St. Bernard Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, Thursday, from 9:30am until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass 11am Thursday at the church with Rev. Msgr. Brian Coleman officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
