Blanche C. Hansen

February 9, 1919 — April 9, 2017

Blanche (Laurant) Hansen, 98, Green Bay, passed away on April 9, 2017. Born on February 9, 1919, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Tikalsky) Karner. She married Harold Laurant on February 3, 1940, in Hollandtown, Wis. Blanche went on to marry Milton Hansen March 17, 1973, and he preceded her in death in January of 2000. She worked at Milprint in De Pere for 25 years. Blanche enjoyed playing cards, bowling, bingo, gardening, and traveling. She was very devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

She is survived by her three children, Deacon John Laurant, Joe (Sue) Laurant, and Alice Laurant; two step-daughters, Janice (Jim) Leschke, and Connie Hansen; seven grandchildren, Lori (Frank) Horkman, Lisa Skaletski, Jodi (Rick) Havlovitz, Dana (Clint) Spejcher, Becky (Don) Rozz, Aaron (Elana) Laurant, Matthew (Courtney) Zarnoth, Jessica Zarnoth; four step-grandchildren, Dale (Cindy) Selner, David (Terry) Leschke, Doris Selner, Amy (Scott Kahle) Leschke-Kahle; 25 great grandchildren; one sister, Leona Rabe; three sisters-in-law, Agnes Karner, Agnes Rademacher, and Hazel Karner; and many other relatives and friends.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, LeeAnn Laurant; three brothers, Norbert Karner, Richard Karner, Robert Karner; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia (Chris) Carter; one brother-in-law, Bill Rabe; sister-in-law, Florence Haganes; and close friend, Ginny Hayes.

Visitation at St Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Malcore (East) Funeral Home is assisting the family with services, 432-5579.
