Beatrice Marie (Sikhart) Robertson, 98, born July 20, 1917, died peacefully on Sept. 19, 2015. Bea was the oldest of six siblings born to Mary and Vandie Sikhart in Grant County, Wisconsin. During her life, Bea lived in Montfort, Madison, Milwaukee, and Green Bay.
Beatrice is survived by two sisters, Virginia Coughlin, Ashville, NC and Mary Ellen McCormick, Madison; her son, James and his wife, Janis, Green Bay; grandchildren, Jennie Robertson of Nick (Shaun Nick), Jessica Pierquet (Greg), Joanna Robertson (Darin Yenter); great-grandchildren, Rowen and Laszlo Robertson of Nick, and David Pierquet; many nieces and nephews and their families; and long-time friend, Bob Mongin.
Bea had a zest for life that kept her going to the very end. She loved God, her family, and her beloved Milwaukee Brewers. She followed the Brewers even when they were not playing very well and was quick to always add, “They will do better next year.” Bea knew each Brewer player by their names and number and she was especially fond of Braun and Lucroy. She loved people and enjoyed talking to friends and strangers alike. Bea had the incredible ability to remember names and faces. She was quick to smile, share a story and a laugh or two and she was always ready to share a piece of chocolate candy that she carried with her wherever she went.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lorraine Rekowski and Cecelia Sikhart; brother, Bernard Sikhart; grandson, Josh Robertson; and great-grandson, Harrison Pierquet.
A celebration of Beatrice’s life will be held at her church, St. John the Evangelist, 413 St. John St. Green Bay, on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, with a time of visitation from 3-4pm and Memorial Mass following at 4pm. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Galloway, WI.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, we ask that you make a donation to your favorite charity in Bea’s honor. She would like that.
Thank you to the staff of Birch Creek Assisted Living for the care you gave to Beatrice.
