Amelia “Amy” A. Wimmer, 72, Wausau, formerly of Green Bay, found peace Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014, at a Wausau hospital. Born July 29, 1942, in Wausau, she is the daughter of the late Ralph and Angeline (Zweck) Wimmer. Amy was employed as a housekeeper with Bellin Hospital for a number of years. She truly enjoyed caring for the children of neighbors and friends in her home and cherished her time playing various card games and board games with the children. Amy was a long time member of the Eagles Auxiliary Aerier 401 in Green Bay. She will also be remembered for her enjoyment of traveling with her friends to enjoy the great outdoors, including swimming, camping and fishing. Her true love in life was her family, especially her granddaughters.
Amy is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Ron Kubetz, Schofield; two granddaughters, Amber and Ariel; close friends, Cindy and Laurie; further survived by other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; son, Harold Jennejohn; infant son, Joseph Allen; and grandson, Mark Lynn Newhouse.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, Monday, Dec. 29th, from 4pm until the time of the service at 7:30pm. There will be a memorial service conducted by Eagles Club Auxiliary Aerie 410 at 6:30pm that evening at the funeral home. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Tues, Dec. 30, at 2:45pm.
