Alice A. Collins, 98, Green Bay, died peacefully, Wednesday, October 22, 2014, with her son by her side. She was born in New Franken, September 4, 1916 the daughter of the late Horace and Eliza (Dupont) Petiniot. Alice worked as a housekeeper for a few families throughout the area. She also was a housekeeper for George Herlache, her companion for 16 years. He preceded her in death on March 23, 1991. She purchased his house and lived there until going to Century Ridge about 4 years ago. Alice did a fantastic job of raising her two sons by herself.
She is survived by her son, Bob Collins of Green Bay; 3 grandchildren, James and Kerri, Gerald and Christine, and Daniel and Kari; 6 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Petiniot of Green Bay; many other relatives and friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Carolyn Collins; brothers and sister-in-law, William and Frank and Leona Petiniot; sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Elwyn Brix.
At Alice’s request there will be no services held. Malcore (East) Funeral Home is caring for the family. Burial of her ashes will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery next to George Herlache.
